So… Philly’s Audible invited me to help out recording an EP this summer. We started tracking in late August at Audible’s garage practice space in Philadelphia’s Fishtown. Tracking was done over a few days and nights and consisted of the basics…guitar, bass, and drums. However, we tracked Mike, Kris, and Steve [...] The folks over at FAWM are at it again this year. You can also try to keep up with his comings and goings and pretend to be [...] Spent tonight with Mike and Mary of Audible working on the last song for the record. “14 Weeks” is going to be stripped down compared to the rest of the songs that we’ve been working on together since August. Simply acoustic guitar and vocals. We spent the evening recording an old metronome and Mike’s Gibson J-45 [...] Spent a few hours this evening working with MK and Mary on “Later On We’ll Live”. We now have a very dynamic mix happening over here. We also spent time tightening up a few small things on “Last Thing I Remember” and “Isolette”. Aside from a great performance from the band, these songs are heavily [...] Spent the better part of the day with Mike Kennedy mixing three new Audible songs. “All Alarms”, “Isolette”, and “Last Thing I Remember”. We had two prior mixing days, but today things really came together. A few more tweaks and these new gems are ready for mastering. First time using PSP’s Lexicon 42 delay for various [...] Well hello there. Seems like I am finally going to use this space as more than a server. More to come soon enough! |
