I’ll be spending the weekend mastering (vinyl & digital) the debut record front Antwerp’s A Clean Kitchen Is A Happy Kitchen that’s coming out on Jezus Factory Records (UK) in early 2011. Pitchfork recently reviewed Nightlands’ Forget the Mantra and The War On Drugs’ Future Weather. Both were rated higher than Pitchfork’s review of Music. Seriously folks, please check out both of these great records! I’m playing guitar in Jesse Gimbel’s live band, along with Brian Wilkinson from Like a Fox (bass) and Steve Cawley from Audible (drums). We’ve been rehearsing for the past month and things are really coming together. Looking forward to gigs this fall/winter! All things Jesse Gimbel… Blank Pages new record, Absolute Uncertainty, was released this week. I spent the past year and a half recording and mixing this record with Greg Potter at his home studio and here at The Laundromat. The War on Drugs has a new EP called Future Weather out on Secretly Canadian on October 26th, and S.C. are also releasing Nightlands‘ debut Forget the Mantra on November 9th. This record will be available on Bandcamp starting November 1st. The new Creeping Weeds record that I mastered this summer, See Through, is up at Bandcamp. Latest mix that I have been involved in this month. Five other songs are coming together as well. More to come soon enough! Dave Hartley should live in a van. Every time he’s been out on tour this month something that he’s been involved in makes Pitchfork’s Forkcast. This time it’s The War On Drugs. Adam writes great songs. “Comin’ Through” is no exception. It contains so much that I love about great music. His lyrics, sonic experimentation, sick [...] |
